All aboard!

Patti started lining up her books the other day. I got a little worried (she use to line up all her animals and was so obsessed with it that it really worried me). Cal started to mess with her and move the books (picture 2)... she shoved him away and I made sure that he left her alone until she was finished. Once she finished making a path all the way to the kitchen, she announced "Come on Cal, let's get on the train tracks!!!" This was great... their imaginations are taking flight! I am so excited about watching their little imaginations grow and all the great stuff that they are coming up with. I love it! Anyway, they went around and around on their train tracks. That day the weather was bad, so it was cloudy and dark... we got our flashlights out and had tons of fun!

That's awesome! Seriously--that is higher level imagination! (And I love that Cal totally looks like he "got it" after she told him what she was doing)

Shew!! I was a little worried about where that post might end up! She is one brilliant chick-a-dee! And so is her brother! Rosemary's been doing fun imaginary stuff lately, too! We often play, Momma Kangaroo and Baby Kangaroo, today it was Momma Cowboy and "Mo-mary Cowboy." Too fun!! (sorry for all the insane phonecalls last week!)

Too cute...I can see they don't need any more books for their b-day :-) Colleen's new thing is to play puppy. She sticks her tongue out and starts panting, trying to lick, and starts smelling your hair and face and then says "Yip...your my mommy." Then she wants to reverse the roles and wants me to be her puppy and she is my mommy...strange kid!

Aren't their imaginations awesome. It does get scary sometimes with all that "stuff" that's out there...to think this might be a sign of something to come or that might be but I think the only signs of things to come are cool, creative kids who can entertain themselves! Thanks for the toy tips. I think I may try a few of them, especially the boxing up toys with Brenden because then we aren't giving them away.

That is a really cute story! I love to see my kids create and make up things. It is so fun! They have grown up so much!
