Sometimes at our house....

Sometimes, at our house...

Patti gets into my makeup when I'm not looking...

Cal loves to wear Daddy's helment and Patti loves to wear Mommy's apron (when she was 2)...

if he's tired enough, Cal will take a nap...

so will Jar Jar Binks...

and the buck, lion, and elephant...

and the chicken...

I make Patti wash the dishes (okay, not really).

and Cal thinks he's a alien....

Meet Rocky

No, I didn't let Cal getting into a fist fight... well, he has been known to get really rough though. His eye has been swelling a little over the last couple of days. This morning it was pretty bad. Of course I panicked a little (okay, a little too much) and immediately called Dr. Perkins (he rocks by the way). Good news, Cal won't lose his eye... just some warm compresses and he should be fine.

Easter Part 2

Saturday.... We decided to do our Easter on Saturday (the weather was suppose to be bad Sunday -- and I'm glad we did, because Patti ended getting really sick Saturday night). We went back out to Paw Paw's... the whole family this time. We had so much fun!

Before heading to the land, we played at our house... the kids loved the chicks.

We grilled hamburgers... yum.

Lining up for the big hunt.... it's so funny how the kids are paired off by age perfectly this time of year. We had two 1yr olds, two 2yr olds, two 3 yr olds and two 5 yr olds.

Some eggs had $!

Easter Part 1

There are too many cute pictures to post of our fabulous Easter weekend.
So, we'll just start with Friday....

The girls (Jennifer, Denise and I) had a day of shopping in Houston. When I say "a day", I mean a whole entire day. We left at 8 am and got home at 10:30 pm. There were two eating stops (Cheesecake Factory and Fajita "somethingarather's" -- I can't remember the name). The kids spent the day with their dads at Paw Paw's land having the time of their lives.

Sam, Cal and Patti with Uncle Jamie

We sent some Easter cupcakes for the kids... can you tell they liked them?

The kids love the tractor.... at one point, Daniel had 6 of the kids with him riding around in it.

Riding down to the creek.

This is one of our favorite spots.

Cal just can't keep his clothes on.

Chick update

Well, we've had lots of questions about what we're going to do with the chicks once they grow up.... Here's a little update on Reddy and Greeny.

Mmmm....mmmmm....mmmmmm

JUST KIDDING! The chicks are growing and are still oh so colorful! We are having a little disagreement as to the chick's fate... we'll get back to you on that. Rest assured though, that they are nice and cozy!

Red chick, green chick

Daniel brought home two baby chicks yesterday from work. Patti fell in love immediately -- Cal wanted nothing to do with them. She wouldn't leave them alone... we had to take her inside kicking and screaming. She even asked for them the minute she woke up.

The weather was perfect yesterday evening... so, Daniel got dinner outside (and because we couldn't get Patti back inside -- dinner outside was just easier).

Just a few more pictures from the party....

Happy Birthday Mom!

My mom turns 21+49 on Wednesday. To celebrate her big day, the family came over on Sunday for lunch. Ted, the oldest, wasn't able to make it. Shelly, the 2nd oldest, and her family just moved to College Station from Houston on Friday. Randy, the middle child, and his family drove in from Ft. Worth and Bryan, the 2nd youngest, came in from Houston. We had lots of fun... the cousins really enjoyed seeing each other again.

Angela made the cake... it turned out beautiful and yummy!

Patti used her sweet charm to cast a spell over her uncles... they were putty in her hands.
