Rodeo Day at South Knoll

Patti and Cal have been learning about Texas in school.... the Kindergarten does a big unit about all things Texas... armadillos, bluebonnets, cowboys, etc etc. Cal has been telling everyone that his daddy is a cowboy. He's really proud of it. Patti tries to correct him and tell him that daddy is really a farmer, but Cal still insists that he's a cowboy. I finally asked him why he thought his daddy was a cowboy and he said, "Well.... he wears boots and jeans all the time.... and he has that rope at Paw Paw's land." He's talking about a lasso Daniel has that he uses just for fun. He has no cows and no horses... but, he does have a lasso.

The last day of school before Spring Break, the Kindergarten put on a big Rodeo. The kids sang songs and danced... then we had some fun and games in the gym. It was a lot of fun, and of course the kids were precious!
