I haven't forgotten about Cal's pictures.... In fact, yesterday I picked up the camera to look through the pictures we've taken and guess what? That little stinker had taken some pictures already! They're funny! I will post them asap... but first....

Daniel and I were having a discussion this morning and he insisted that I blog about it and poll your thoughts (assuming that most readers are women.... but men, please feel free to comment).

Ladies.... if your husband buys flowers for you when he goes to the grocery store, does that count as being (a) thoughtful or (b) lazy (let me rephrase that a little .... I may get in trouble for this interpretation..... if your husband only buys flowers for you when he's going to the grocery store anyway for groceries).

Be honest....

I rarely get flowers. So, if Jamie got me flowers from the grocery store (whether he made a special trip there or if he was already going there for groceries), I would love it! I would prefer grocery store flowers on a regular basis (like once every month or so) instead of having flowers delivered from a florist (once every 5 years or so..ha!). (you know...quantity vs. quality!) :o)

If MP brings home flowers, I get a little chapped b/c I would rather him not waste the money. :) I, too, if I HAVE to get flowers would rather have some from the grocery store. The idea of spending big bucks for flowers from the florist makes me ill.

Don't get me wrong, I love flowers. I'm just cheap.

Haha, forget the flowers...I'd be excited just not having to go to the grocery store!! :0)
But really, I'm probably not a good person to ask since I'm right there w/DP...I wouldn't want him to spend the $$$ on flowers. I'd rather have some cold, hard, CASH.

I love flowers and buy them for myself pretty much everytime I buy big groceries. However, that is because I have these vases on the wall that have to have flowers in them or they look stupid. Anyway, I would think it was thoughtful if Josh brought home flowers from the grocery store because that means he was thinking of me when he was there. I would however, prefer to have something like a new shirt or perfume or jewelry or a new car or a camera or a computer or diamonds. My list gets really long!!! :)

I don't think it's "cheating" to buy flowers while at the grocery store. If he's thinking of you while he walks by a "beautiful" display then take it as a compliment. I rarely get flowers...it's the jug of milk and home again. In the beginning before three kids, a mortgage and life I'd get a DP because he thought of my walking past the soda machine, a Heath bar because he thought of me at lunch, flowers because he thought of me buying milk, a single flower in my front seat because he thought of me on his way to work and happened to pass my office, a note or card in the mail because he felt like it....mmmmmm, now I get notes when we run out of shaving cream....take the flowers, no matter what inspired the purchase. Enjoy them, love him and don't question the motive....'cause, after all, someday his signs of affection might be gentle reminders that you forgot the shaving cream at the store.

Take it from a woman with many years of experience...I am thrilled whenever I recieve flowers. I prefer grocery store flowers because he isn't getting ripped off and the sentiment is there where ever the flowers come from. My Number One Rule which you know JENNIFER....Your reaction and response to whatever gift you receive from Hubby, no matter what it is..how large or how small, whether you like it or not is ALWAYS.."I Love it!!.Thank You Sweetheart. Your Are Such A Love". That is the response if you ever want to see another gift from Hubby and it should be genuine, given with a big smile, hug and kiss ...... I am with you, Daniel, my Fantastic Son-in-Love. Grams....

I'm with Irma...it's always enough for me to just not have to go grocery shopping. He would get points just for that at my house.

As far as the flowers go...I think HEB has beautiful flowers. I know Jon has gone there to buy me flowers even when he's not grocery shopping. Anyway, long comment to say that my vote is (a).
