David's Announcement

2 Months Old

My sweet little boy was 2 months old on Tuesday. Wow, how time flies. He now weighs 12 pounds and is 23 inches long. He's in the 50th percentile all the way around. He started off at two weeks with pretty bad reflux and colic.... the doctor put him on previcid and he's doing better. He still has his moments, but it's not as painful as it was 5 weeks ago. He got 3 shots on Tuesday and has been pretty fussy and running a little fever. Poor baby can't get comfortable and it's been wearing him out .... last night, I fed him at 9:30 and he finally fell asleep about 11:00. He slept until 5:45!!!! That's by far the longest stretch he's done. I'm not going to count on that every night, but it sure was nice. Rested baby and rested mommy!

Don't run with scissors

My mom's so paranoid about everything (sorry, Mom).... especially running with sharp objects. She would have had a conniption fit if she was here moments ago. I just caught Cal chasing Patti (running really fast with socks on our tile floors) through our house with a pair of really big scissors. He had the handles in each hand and was opening and closing them as he ran... as if trying to cut her. Nice. Having kids sure keeps you on your toes.

Bathtime

South Padre

The kids, my mom and I headed to South Padre a couple of weeks ago. Daniel flew down and drove back with us. While we were there, Daniel's sister and her family came down. These are all her pictures.... I didn't take my camera with me.... so, thanks for sharing Neesey! The kids had so much fun! We couldn't keep Cal away from the water and Patti was so happy collecting sea shells with her cousins. Sorry, David didn't get to join in the beach fun (he stayed upstairs with Grams)... so, I promise I'll post pictures of him soon!

Cal and Baby Jesus

I just had a good laugh... I have to document it or else I'll forget.

Daniel was telling Patti that he loved her and asked her if she wanted to marry him (kidding around of course... that's just gross if you think he was serious). I asked Cal who he was going to marry (I've already married him off to a best friend's daughter... just wanted to know if he remembered :) He looked at me puzzled (we really don't talk a lot about being married... it just doesn't come up in conversations with the kids.... so, my kids are unfamiliar with the word/concept). I asked him again, "who are you going to marry?" He sweetly and confusingly (I may have just made up that word).... answered "Baby Jesus??" Get it? "Mary"... and Baby Jesus. He does listen in Bible Class.
