No, I'm not pregnant...

We just have new pets. Patti is FiNaLLy pooping in the potty (Cal's a different sad story). So, I bought her a ferret. Yes, a ferret. No, I haven't lost my mind. The people at Petco are super-convincing that ferrets are great pets. We set out to get a rabbit,but were convinced that this adorable, cute, fuzzy little rat-looking creature was much more fun and child-friendly. Oh, okay.... sucker! I will post pictures of "Skunky" soon.

So, while talking about getting Patti a bunny, my hair stylist (yes, I visited my stylist for a cut.... couldn't stand the long hair!.... she only cut the back, giving the top a chance to grow out if I want :) .... anyway, she had a friend who was trying to get rid of a bunny. Her daughter had the bunny for a year (she's 4 now).... so, it was used to kids. And, of course I didn't turn it down. I love animals, what can I say. So, welcome Domino (a black and white cute little bunny). Hmmm.... sucker.

Okay, now that I have had these two adorable cute creatures in my house for a week, I'm ready to get rid of them :) There's a nice musty stench in my house that I can't cover up with my candles. And, they poop. Yes... believe it or not, they poop. A lot! So, that means frequent cage changes. Yuck! Patti thinks that they can come out to play whenever she wants them to. I catch her walking into the bathroom while I'm fixing my hair with Skunky in her arms.... or, pushing Domino around in her little shopping cart. Cute, yes. Gross, yes. Hmmm. Sucker!

I love Saturdays!

Remember that new family member that I mentioned... that I was supposed to blog about..... well... you'll just have to wait another day (and by the way, it's family memberS now).

So, I love Saturdays.... whether Daniel's working or not, whether we have lots to do or nothing to do at all.... I just LoVe Saturdays!

Today (which is Saturday) was a fun and tiring day.... my sister's kids (ages 9 and 8) spent the night (they were here most of Friday too). Daniel went and worked at "the land" for a while and then came home to spend time with the family. We had lots of fun.... so much fun that we skipped nap. I knew that Daddy and Patti wouldn't last long.....

Patti was the first to go.... (Cal had no interest in a nap.... only goofing off for the camera)

Pouty Patti

Our cousins were over visiting our new family member today (I'll blog about that tomorrow). For some unknown reason, Patti got her knickers in a knot and started pouting. She flopped herself down on the couch obviously wanting to be noticed, and sweet Phoebe quickly snuggled in. I don't know if Phoebe was trying to comfort her or just saw an opportunity to cuddle up. She laid her head on Patti and rubbed her tummy. Soooo sweet. I think Patti secretly liked it or else she would have pushed her right off.

After a nice long nap, Patti woke up with a smile. She and Cal sat down to share a book together. Sweet.

I found my camera! I found it tucked away in a drawer - evidently someone's attempt to hide it from Cal (when I put my card into my computer, I realized he had taken dozens and dozens of random pictures). I am sharing a few... he took about 15 of the computer screen (I pulled up some pictures and videos of dinosaurs and he took pictures of them). I think Patti got a hold of it too, because there were some blurry pictures of Cal that I didn't take.

I know, I know.... I stink at blogging right now. Sorry. It's been busy, but nothing worth blogging about. I went searching for my camera, hoping that there were some pictures to post, but I can't find the camera.... and, I'm too tired to really look for it. It's been a long week.... Cal started a fever last Monday....got worse, went to Doc on Thursday.... just a virus.... Patti started fever Friday.... so did I.... miserable.....Patti still has a little fever... Cal and I are better.... who's next?

I do have a few pictures to post though. These were at the beach.... Patti and her cousin, Colleen, playing in the sand. Colleen's mommy, Natalie, is my cousin (actually, Nat's grandmother and my dad were first cousins.... don't ask me to tell you what level of cousins that make us or our children).

Dilemma: I need some help.... my hairstylist (who is a friend from high school) won't cut my hair. She wants me to grow it out. I think she hates me. My hair is curly and thick.... thick. It's hot! I love my hair short, but she insists that I need to grow it out. Daniel's not too opinionated about it, but leans a little left (long). Sooo, should I threaten to fire my stylist and make her cut it or do you side with the long'do'. I need help... especially from those who have seen it long and short.
